Photography can be a very personal self expression. It is used to capture memories, moments in time that, thanks to the click of a finger, is memorialized forever. When I started, photography was expensive, film itself came in canisters or cartridges that could end up becoming pricy, not even mentioning the cameras themselves!
The computer age brought about digital cameras. The first ones stupendously expensive and the clarity not as good as film cameras. That’s changed. Smartphone cameras are often just as good, if not better than, a basic point and shoot camera.
I have a long love affair with the camera. Two of my favourite places to take photos are Writing on Stone Provincial Park, and New Orleans. I go back as often as I can. There is always something new to see and discover. Find your place and explore!
